Event Resources for Farms & Ranches
Participating farms and ranches can find resources for the Rogue Valley Farm Tour event below.

Farms and ranches in Jackson and Josephine counties are welcome to apply to participate each year. In order to provide Farm Tour participants with the highest quality experiences possible, all participating locations will be vetted and approved by the planning committee. Approval may require an on-site visitation from the planning team.
Approved host farms and ranches are included in the annual event brochure, which includes a map of all the participating locations, along with brief descriptions of each farm or ranch. Event brochures are published in April each year, and made available at various retail locations leading up to the event. A digital version is available for participants to download on mobile devices. Community members are invited to explore the brochure and plan their day according to the farms/activities they would like to visit. Learn more about how the Farm Tour works for participants here.
The 2026 event will be limited to a total of 24 farms and ranches.

We’re looking for locations interested in offering educational tours, family-friendly activities, food or goods for sale, free samples, music, and/or whatever works best for your location.
The mission of the Rogue Valley Farm Tour is to increase the interaction between community members and local growers. Our goal is to provide people the opportunity to learn about where food comes from, how it is grown, and by whom. With this focus in mind, all participating locations are required to grow a food crop and/or produce a food product.
All participating farms and ranches are required to carry liability insurance. A certificate of insurance coverage listing Medford Food Co-op as additional insured on the day of the event will be required for participation.
For safety and accessibility, all host locations must have enough parking spaces to accommodate a minimum of 12 vehicles at a time.

We realize July can be a very busy time on the farm. Because you have an intimate understanding of what you’d like each guest to learn and what your farm can handle, each host is responsible for its own activities and offerings. Our team is happy to offer suggestions or share what other locations have offered previously to help guide planning at your location.
It’s important to note that Farm Tour participants are looking for engaging experiences and specifically plan their day around the activities advertised in the brochure. If your location is off the beaten path, we suggest making sure you have an enticing activity to help draw participants to your location. If you choose to offer meals at your location, we encourage farm-fresh offerings and/or locally-sourced ingredients.
Weather is an important consideration when planning activities. Historically, rain has not been an issue, but the temperatures can climb quite high by mid-afternoon in July. Consider variations in your offerings throughout the day: field tours in the mornings and shaded or indoor demonstrations or sampling in the afternoon, for example. Guests may only visit for 5 minutes or they may stay for hours and ask you questions. Flexibility is important.
The number of participants can vary from year to year depending on weather, wildfire, and other events in the area. We expect a minimum of 1,000 guests and as many as 3,000 guests. With a total of 24 farms, 1,000 guests averages out to about 40 guests per farm and 3,000 guests averages out to about 125 guests per farm. Each location should be prepared for a minimum of 25 and up to 100 guests the day of the tour. Our busiest locations report upwards of 200 visitors throughout the day. If your farm is easy to access, or if you are in an area with a higher concentration of farms on the tour, plan for a higher number of guests. We do ask that you try to keep a count or estimate of the number of people who visit your farm, as this is the primary way for us to estimate attendance.
For additional information about what to expect as a host farm, and what guests are expecting from you, we highly recommend reviewing survey results from previous years.
